NEW YORK — Donald Trump is going down, but he’ll get away without much of a scolding.
The New York Time reported Tuesday that the president is in a state of “a new, full-fledged panic.”
Trump was already on the verge of a “mini-scandal” on the eve of his meeting with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, which he described as “very positive,” when the president said, “He’s going to be fine.”
The president has repeatedly claimed he can still get away, but that the media is “totally out of control.”
“I’m in the middle of a mini-scap,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One, according to the Times.
“It’s a full-blown panic, and I think the press is out of its mind,” Trump added.
“I’m getting a lot of things wrong.”
Trump also reportedly said he could get away if the press kept asking him questions about “certain things.”
