The Bucks are hoping to get back on track by playing some of the most talented teams in the NBA this week.
The Bucks face the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night in their first of four games at Madison Square Garden.
The 76ers are coming off a disappointing 109-94 loss to the New York Knicks on Monday.
They’re coming off their worst performance of the season in a 107-98 loss to Golden State on Saturday.
If the 76ers can avoid a third straight defeat, they’ll move to 2-0 for the first time in league history.
With Milwaukee’s next five games being against the Memphis Grizzlies, Memphis, Utah, Utah State and Memphis, the Bucks have five more games left.
Bucks coach Jason Kidd is eager to get some wins in between his team’s five scheduled matchups.
Kidd has already lost three of his last four games against the 76s, including a 99-97 loss on Nov. 27.
Milwaukee’s schedule this week is daunting, especially with five of its last six games coming against teams that are not ranked in the top five of the East.
The Bucks have a tough task ahead of them.
The Bucks face four teams that finished in the bottom five in the league last season.
In their last meeting with the 76 and Knicks, the 76 won 104-93.
The Bucks won 100-90 on Nov, 17, and a matchup against the Warriors on Thursday will give the Bucks another chance to take the next step.
After getting off to a hot start, Milwaukee was blown out 107-93 by the Cavaliers on Friday night.
The team had not beaten a playoff team since Dec. 4.
This was the Bucks’ worst start since the 2012-13 season.
Milwaukee went 4-5 before a 102-96 loss to Cleveland on Dec. 9.
It was a season-worst 17 turnovers and five fouls in a 96-89 loss to Detroit on Saturday night.
Kidd said the Bucks need to stay focused on the task at hand.
“It’s not about the last game,” Kidd said.
“It’s about this week and how we play.
That’s the most important thing.”
The 76ers have lost five of their last six and have dropped six of seven.
On Thursday night, the Sixers will play at Memphis for the sixth time in eight games.
Kidd said he is not concerned about the 76er’s recent record against the Bucks.
Memphis is coming off its best defensive performance of this season, going 17-0 at home and allowing a league-low 103.2 points per game.
The Bucks were expected to bounce back from a 103-92 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday, but they fell behind by as many as 11 points in the third quarter.
The 76s will likely be without All-Star point guard Brandon Knight, who suffered a season end concussion in the game.
He was the only member of the Bucks to play Sunday.
The Sixers will try to bounce right back with a victory in Madison.
Milwaukee will play its first three games in its new arena at 7:30 p.m.
ET.
The first game of the night is a doubleheader at 9:30 a.m., when the Bucks host the Brooklyn Nets at Madison Arena.
The second game of Tuesday night is against the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7 p. m.
ET at Madison.
The game will be streamed live on Bucks.com.
