It was the arrival of an English-language newspaper that, at its heart, is a Hindi newspaper.
The Times is a joint venture of The Times Group and NDTV.
Its launch was announced last month and the newspaper is due to launch its first edition in the capital, Delhi on February 17.
It is the first of its kind in India, with its launch expected to be accompanied by a public campaign, with billboards, billboards, flyers, and social media.
NDTV, the parent company of the Times, will host a conference call with its editorial board and editorial board staff at 7 pm, according to a NDTV spokesperson.
It will also host a series of live and online debates and panels with key journalists, with the focus on issues related to the media.
The Times of Times will also run a special edition, covering the week of February 14-18, which will cover the issues of the day in India.
The paper will focus on local stories, such as the “Kashmi”, a Hindu holiday that falls on the first Monday of each month, in an attempt to highlight issues of relevance to the Indian diaspora, the spokesperson said.
NDCTV, the largest Hindi news network in India and an affiliate of NDTV Ltd., is the only TV channel in India with a daily audience of over 100 million people.
The New York Times has not commented on the launch.
