On February 15, 2018, a bomb exploded at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, one of the largest in the U.S. Federal Building complex in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people and injuring nearly 500 others.
A video of the attack shows a white SUV driving up a ramp and parking in the middle of the street before being driven off in a car.
Shortly after, the building is engulfed in flames.
Three men are arrested for the bombing, including the driver.
Authorities claim the bomber was the same man who drove the SUV and parked in the area where the explosion occurred.
Investigators have not determined whether he was involved in the other bombing in Oklahoma in May, which killed 32 people.
In the days after the Oklahoma bombing, President Donald Trump said he would appoint a special prosecutor to look into the bombing.
“It’s a very sad day in our country,” Trump said.
Trump also said the bombing of the Alfred Murrah Building “was the work of many people.”
“And there will be consequences,” Trump added.
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin called the bombing an “act of terror.”
“We need to do everything we can to hold the perpetrators accountable,” Fallin said.
“And I can tell you this, I have no question whatsoever, that there is not one person who has been connected to this attack who is innocent.
But it is clear to me, and to others, that we have a very serious and important problem here in this country.
Fallin said the U,S.
military was looking into the matter and said the Oklahoma FBI and other law enforcement agencies were assisting.
President Donald Trump speaks to reporters after signing a bill to reopen a federal prison in Oklahoma, on January 30, 2021, in Washington, DC.
The Oklahoma City bomber was not connected to the Oklahoma prison and the FBI has no indication of whether he is connected to any other terrorism plots, officials said at the time.
Since then, Oklahoma has seen a spike in attacks, with a number of other states taking similar measures to increase security in response to the deadly bombing.
