JAMAIA STAR PRINTER, the publisher of the USA Today and the New York Times, has announced it will print its newspaper in the US from April 6.
The announcement comes after JAMAICSSTAR PRESS has announced plans to print its first US paper from May 3.
The print edition of the paper will be published in the New Orleans, Louisiana city.
“We have been on a journey to become the most global media company in the world, and now we have a solid platform to deliver the world’s best journalism to readers around the world,” said Jason Bickel, chairman of JAMAICESSTAR PRESS.
The paper is owned by JAMAICAN PRESS, which is a subsidiary of the New Media Group (NJG), the global publisher of newspapers and magazines, with headquarters in New York.
It has over 2.7 million print and online subscribers.
It was founded in 1999 by a group of media executives including New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who was a board member of J&A.JAMAICOSSTAR PRESS, the second-largest daily newspaper in South Africa, is the largest daily in the country, with a circulation of around 1.5 million.
